As I look back upon my life I see that every part of it was a preparation for the next.
The most trivial of incidents fit into the larger pattern like a mosaic preconceived design.

Life is made up of different seasons. You never get the same season throughout the year that’s why God created summer, winter, autumn and spring. He is a God of variety and creativity; that’s just who he is. When I think of summer I immediately smile because I am reminded of how the sunlight illuminates everything giving it an unprecedented glow. Everything looks so beautiful and radiant. Summer, however, doesn’t last forever it transitions into the beautiful autumn which is generally known as the falling season. Autumn is uniquely beautiful, roads are strewn with falling leaves; natures carpeting making room for the dreadful winter full of cold nights a bit of rain, snow and everything seems so gloomy and mind-numbing. But the most beautiful season out of all these four seasons is spring; a season of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and regrowth.
Just like our lives we have these seasons of sunshine, sadness, falling and rebirth. Things happen to us unexpectedly (illness, death, breakdown etc.); without prior notice for you to even prepare; things that shake up our worlds and live us in a disgruntled state wondering why it even happened. Some of these things even test our faith and knock it down to the point where you wonder if there is a God a season I find to be similar to the autumn season or even winter. Ecclesiastes states that there is a time for everything under the sun; a time to mourn, rejoice, sow, reap etc., but the world we live in has conditioned us to believe in a façade that we should always be happy all the time; Jesus went through times of sadness too. I had my world shaken up; we all have in some shape or form it is inevitable; we all have stories to tell and some stories or scars are worse than others; that’s just the way life is.
When I look back at all that has happened to me and the person I am now I am reminded that whatever it is that we go through in life will come to pass. It is just a season that will give birth to something new and better. It doesn’t last forever it just changes us and takes us into a new dimension; A dimension of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and regrowth just like spring. And as time goes on you find that you get better, stronger and a better version of you is born and that’s when summer creeps in full of its beauty and radiance. The cycle goes on that’s just the way life is but throughout these seasons if you look closely you will find that there is beauty all around you. God ALWAYS makes provision for us in these seasons of our lives; he sends people our way to help us, opens the right doors and comforts us through the difficult times. One of the most profound things which I have learnt and realised over the past couple of weeks is that everyone is going through something.
Not all of us are strong enough to talk about our worlds, we are so good at pretending; we all have a unique story just not the one we are telling. Life will take us through a cycle of never-ending transitions. Transitions we can and can’t control and truthfully speaking no amount of worrying or stressing can change half of these things; all we can do is pray; pray before, during and after things happen; a concept I have had the privilege of learning. Find the beauty in the season that you are in, treasure it, appreciate it, enjoy it because it will not last forever, it’s just for a moment; good and better things will come. You are just transitioning from a caterpillar to a butterfly.
